Prior To Briefing
It is best to have several issues thought over before you brief your designer. What style of website do you want? Do you want it to reflect a particular image? How much information to you want to give the public? Do you intend to sell products or services from the site? Will you need to have the ability to maintain some content yourself, such as news items or upcoming events? It can often be useful to browse websites of similar businesses to yourself, and decide what aspects you like or dislike. An important aspect to ensure your website is easy for the public to find is to decide on several key search words. These will be used throughout the site to help Search Engines find you on the web. The more research you have done at this stage the more useful the briefing will be and this will lead to a better outcome for you.

Briefing
Our experienced designers will sit down with you and your team to discuss your objectives for your website. We will look at your industry, the complexity of your product or services range and the sort of presence you see your business needing on the web. We can show you a range of possible layouts to choose from. If you can't find a suitable style from the range we have shown you, we can discuss designing a website with a customised style. If you don't have your domain registration yet, we can look at a number of options for a domain name. This is a very important step towards establishing your presence on the web.

After Briefing
With your details firmed up by the briefing, we will submit a proposal based on our understanding of your needs. It will cover in detail what we will do for your business. In some cases we may offer you a number of alternative directions for you to choose from. In most cases we will be offering a fixed fee proposal, but at some times given the complexity of your design it may be an hourly fee proposal. At this stage you will need to carefully check what we are offering you, to ensure that it will meet your aims. If you need to change aspects of our proposal, this is the best time to do it. Making significant changes to your website after you have accepted the proposal may incur variation charges.

Acceptance
You will then need to accept the proposal and advise us to commence work on building your website. If necessary we will go about registering your domain name and establishing a hosting account for your site. We will generally ask for a small deposit at this stage to cover the immediate outgoings.

Staged Progress
Depending on the complexity of the project, we may ask you to approve the work in stages. At all times you can view the project as it progresses, providing that you have access to the web. We may seek your guidance from time to time as we go about building your website, in order to clarify issues that have arisen. During this stage you are encouraged to express any concerns you may have about the way we are handling our work. Achieving a top result is usually the result of collaboration between the client and us, and so any ideas you have which involve only minor change are welcomed. Major changes at this time may require a variation proposal for you to approve.

Approval
Once we have completed the project we will ask you to view the site and submit your approval.

Billing
Once we have received formal approval we will send you an invoice. This will be due within fourteen days of invoice date.
